Atomic Age is a period of nuclear technology development starting with the launch of the first nuclear power reactor "Chicago Pile-1" in December 1942. Further progress of the nuclear industry took place during the next decades which makes up for an important part of modern technological era.

The brand new Vostok Europe Atomic Age line acknowledges these technologacal advances. The Multifunction line focuses on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the former head of the Los Alamos laboratory and the "Manhattan Project" that took place to develop the first nuclear weapon. After WWII Oppenheimer became chairman of the influential General Advisory Committee of the newly created US Atomic Energy Commission. He used that position to lobby for international control of nuclear power, to avert nuclear proliferation and a nuclear arms race with the Soviet Union.

A unique techno-futuristic, polygonal shaped case is combined with tritium illumination and the best movements. The case consists of two metal parts welded and fixed by two rivets. The hands are brushed and skeletonized and the dials have complex grain texture.

Each piece comes with a pre-mounted stainless steel bracelet in an genuine red Vostok Europe Dry Box which also includes a tool to change the bracelet.
